In the Fall of 2013, Keisha was driving her friends home when, in an instant, her whole life changed. Her friend that was in the passenger seat grabbed the wheel because she thought they were going to hit the car in front of them. This caused the car to crash into the guardrail, which came through the engine block. The crash severed Keisha’s left leg immediately and her right leg would later be amputated in the ER.
Keisha has overcome unimaginable adversity and hasn’t missed a beat as a mother. That’s why we honored her as a Super Mom!
We reached out to our friends at Pro Care. They are masters at custom-made prosthetics. They’re ready to give Keisha the VIP treatment that will allow her to have legs that look and feel real.
We also wanted to make sure Keisha doesn’t have to ask for rides from her friends anymore. We gave her a brand new 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, courtesy of Bill Jacobs Joliet
