Why are there no recent progress weeks posted?
I have loss 100+ lbs but mostly because I can not eat well due to GERD (acid reflux) so I am in need of majoring tonning, so I am buying Shred this weekend so I can learn to develope a more healthy eating style and exercise program. I am tired of not being to eat out without issues, so your zest has motivated me to try Shred as I had given up on everything.

I want to loose 40-50 pounds for health reasons. I need a total knee replacement and I won’t have it until I loose the weight. I wish all much success in reaching their goals. I don’t have the finances to buy the book right now, but will skim through to get the major points until I can get one. I know eating healthy is th core to loosing weight. I wish you guys the best of luck. I eat right and work out but don’t do diets. After seeing Dr. Ian Smith on your show I started the Shred Diet a couple of weeks after you started. I am starting the 4th week and I’m down 11 pounds…it works and it’s not difficult. I’ve got co-workers who are planning to start it and have bought the book. I’m also doing all the cooking and preparing for a friend, who started in the 3rd week and she’s down almost 6 1/2 pounds after 10 days. Loving it!
Hi Steve – My husband and I were at a taping of your show , the day you weighed in on the shred diet after 6 weeks. We decided to try it after watching you. Me and my sister started this diet Sunday. the diet is ok and isn’t that hard as long as you are in a position where you can eat exactly when you need to. the one thing I don’t agree with is saying it’s affordable. maybe for some people but to be able tp buy the healthy things we needed, I spent $60…. Hi Steve I record your show because it comes on when I’m at work. Altough since it is recording at the time my husband gets home he usually watches it and tells me about what I missed. I just saw the episode with the residents of Philly joining you on the Shred Diet. I have been trying things to get myself and my husband of 9 months ( yes we are newlyweds) more fit and start making healthier choices. Over the last 10 months I have managed to lose 15lbs with the help of Curves and some better choices; while my husband has remained the same. I’m hoping to get him back on the band wagon once he finishes his master degree as that takes up alot of his time so he doesn’t make it to the gym as often as he should. He will have completed his masters program in a few montes but in the meantime we’re open to any suggestions and tips you may have to help us succeed and I will be following the Sred program along with you all. Congrats on the success you all have achieved so far.

Saw this diet on the show and it sounded like something I could do. Tried a lot of diets with no success. At 60+ it went on a lot easier than it comes off. Went to the library and am #52 on the waiting list. (guess I wasn’t the only one that thought it sounded do able) Don’t have the money to buy it so when my name comes up I will get it then. Steve I must have missed this show about the shred diet about how much does the book run or do you have any you giving out cause I would like to have one been out of work for about seven months due to a brain tumor so the money is tight cause husband paying the bills and I’m afraid to ask for a book. I’ve tried soooooo many diets. I HATE my appearance. I’m a missionary to africa and spent a month there in June also bringing the cure for malaria with me. I purposed in my heart when I go this year I will be 50 lbs thinner. I started January 1st and have lost only 10 lbs. I GIVE up. Nothing is ever going to work for me. Best of luck to you. I made a post that you can read. But I can relate to what you have written. I’m a missionary and because of sickness, gained alot of weight. I now NEED to lose a solid 50 lbs.. 70 would be the best.. I am 58 and will be 59 tomorrow the 20th. Although I don’t have family, I don’t want to die as a result of being overweight. I love being a missionary to Africa..But I MUST be healthier. I started the Women in Pursuit of a Healthy Lifestyle with a group of women last year; however, they don’t seem as motivated as before. I have a question. I had my thyroid removed over 30 years ago and have been on thyroid medication. I also take medication for cholesterol and fibromyalgia. I am 50 pounds over weight and was told by my doctor that I probably won’t lose anything because I have a low metabolism. I am 62 and , 5 ft. 3, and weigh 173 lbs. I am sick of being over weight, I walk over 2 miles every other day but I still don’t lose anything. What can I do?

I don’t own a car I have a very low income…and I’m over weight and I work on loseing every day… and I lost like 135 pounds in 2 1/2 months…I walk a lot and go up and down my stairs to walk my puppy and to check the mail n take out the trash ect! And I don’t buy any kind of sugar and I wacth my sodium in take and I don’t get any snacks at all! And my doctor took me off a lot of medications and next month after my blood work he’ll proablly take me off more…but my probleam is my belly it don’t seam like I’m getting anywhere with it! But I did drop a lot of sizes in my pants n shorts n all ,, I caint get a bike beacuse I wouldn’t be able to carry it up the stairs at my apt…do you have any other ideas that you can help me with please! After watching the first show about Steve, Peggy and Emmily joining the Shred Diet – Steve convinced my husband that we should try it. We are only in the 3rd week and I have lost 7 lbs and my husband has lost 4 lbs. It is so simple and overall we do not feel bloated or weighed down. Dr. Ian has it right! I can’t wait to see how it goes at the end of 6 weeks. I wish there was a place that those that have joined the Shred Diet with you… can post their progress online… Either way… we are all moving in a healthier direction

I watch the Biggest Loser faithfully. I cry when I c these people journey n their weight lose. While I’m watching I’m eating Ice cream, cookies, cake, candy etc. I became comfortable n my skin. I luv me but I luv my daughter more. She told her father n I that we need to loose weight. We saw Dr Ian’s book Shred and we bought it. We started the Shred diet ladt week Monday Feb 4, 2013. My starting weight was 229. I have lost 5 lbs as of Feb 11, 2013. My husbands starting weight was 231. He has lost 6 lbs. We would like to thank u Steve Harvey n Dr Ian Smith 4 this weight lose revolution. It is easy n it’s spelled out 4 u n the book. It’s food that we don’t mind eating.
I would absolutely love to try this “lifestyle change”! I really need to lose weight and get in shape. I’m 45 years old, lethargic and I am taking at least 23 pills a day not including 2 types of insulin. I feel like I’m about 90 years old. I’ve tried a number of weight loss programsto no avail. You can do it…losing weight is really what we eat 95% of it and 5% exercise. With exercise start slow at your own pace gradually build up daily just don’t give up. Get on that treadmill. Go walking… come to the Wellaware that’s where I go. We can do this trust me I feel the same way.

I have been on several diets where I lost a fairly amount of weight, but ended up gaining the weight back. I am ready for a new beginning so I am purchasing Dr. Ian’s book to get started right away. Hey ladies good luck…and this is the way to go…I had to surgery..one gastro sleeve and one gastro bypass…I would not wish my worst emeny to get that surgery..throwing up til this day..the worst is that I have lost and gain…due to being hunger after the fact…late night eating..you ladies good luck…I can give you a story on my Emergency experience but its about you ladies…..this is the best way to do it…good luck I am still stuggling…keep your head up..good luck ladies.
I started the Shred diet a week ago, lets do this Steve, Peggy and Emily! Maybe Steve you will invite me to your show and help me in my love life coz my clock is REALLY ticking! As in I will be a year older after Valentine’s day. You and I will get through this together (I like that phrase btw).

I’ve been a Navy Wife and a stay at home mom to a beautiful one and three year old girls. After having my second I need to lose at least thirty pounds and get back in shape for my girls and my husband. If y’all can do it I can too.

I’m 65 and fat (roly-poly). I was thin all my life till these later years. I know it’s metabolism after a hysterectomy. I just got my teeth fixed (finally) now I want to slim back down. I want my old self back. I love me but I don’t like roly-poly me. I want to get in on your shred diet. If I can afford your book I’ll get it. I’m on a very limited income so I might have to save for it but I’m going to do it!

Just read the book and I’m anxious to get started! Osteoarthritis makes it hard for me to exercise but I’ve discovered Donovan Green’s ‘No Excuses’ exercises and I hope to incorporate them into my plan because there is absolutely no pressure on the joints!
Steve I think you will hurt on this. For a Big Man you need to eat. on this you will be thinking about food all the time ( No Good ) eat & work out then you can eat anything. From a big Guy. love your show.

Started one week ago. Pretty easy, but expensive to keep up with soooo many veggies and fruits. Today starts week 2. So far I lost 1.5 lbs. I am looking to lose a total of 2 sizes.

I am struggling so badly to lose 30 pounds. I have tried everything! It makes it very difficult with the news of my father battling smoldering carcinoma and Dr. told him the meds he needs to survive are going to be over 3000.00 a month after insurance pays and then me going through menopause it just seems like a hopeless matter which really depresses me, but I keep pushing and trying even though I am losing my confidence.

I am so looking forward to seeing how this works and would love to buy the book myself. My overall problem with this diet and most diets is how I turn this into gluten free and still achieve the same results. At 52 years old I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and it seems like starches are the only thing that doesn’t effect this, but it certainly has effected me! Happy Weight loss to you all. Good luck guys, but remember that diet is the key! I got a shirt I made that says…”Training= 30% Gym & 70% Diet and on the back it says..”Abs are made in the kitchen and not the gym”. Remember if u don’t follow Dr Ians full diet program to the wire and u think u can eat bad food just once or twice a week (when company comes over usually…lol) and u think u will just make up for it during the workout part of the program, then u will fail and u will know why. Stay focus and try to take personal bathroom pictures of urself every week. I have noticed with my clients that when they see a new muscle or a curve in their body that’s now showing through that use to be covered by fat, it makes them go at it even harder. Now it will be easier for Steve because men can use their extra muscle mass to help burn more fat than women and he can get away with a few extra cheat days as well, but it still wont be easy…lol Truth be told, out of that 30% Gym , I would say 10% is mental and 20% Gym because if your mind isn’t right then it will be very easy to fall off the “weight-loss wagon” http://www.msbfitness.net.

OF 2 POSITIVE QUALITYS/FEEDBACK(S) AND REPEAT THEM OUTLOUD TO YOURSELF WHILE LOOKING IN THE MIRROR. 2ND (THIS IS BIG…READY) WHILE EATING W OR W/OUT SILVERWARE PUT YOUR FOOD AND/OR SILVERWARE COMPLETELY DOWN BETWEEN BITES. Obviously, being able to eat normal food is great, but when I watched this show, it seemed the lady was exercising all the time. So, is it the food or the increased exercising? Hmmm…
Its really both susan. The old saying is 30% gym and 70% Diet. What the EXTRA exercising will do is allow u to have a few more “cheat days” and get away with it versus a person who just works out 2 days a week. If women will just use more of their muscles doing their workouts it will help them burn more fat than normal and u will get faster results. Also if ur muscles are now working and back in gear(like when u were younger) then u will be able to burn fat like men do. A healthy man who works out regularly can burn fat just sitting watching the game because muscle is always looking for a fuel source. That is why when ur diet becomes poor and u dont eat regular, ur body will eat on ur own muscles(catabolism) to feed ur vital organs and reduce the need for extra food that ur body is now seeing it is not getting anymore.I speak more on this on my website http://www.msbfitness.net
I am 62 will be 63 this year I was in a car accident last June 2 weeks after my birthday went to I rvine California , spent one night went out to dinner with my brother and his wife on our way back to hotel hit by drunk driver he had no insurance. I had 6 fractured ribs but I am good now lost 20lbs but now I want to loose at least 15 more. Taking it on with you! Lets do this yall

Just saw the segment about the Shred diet. Today I just started walking on a streadmill at my apartment complex. I beleive this was my confirmation that I need to keep it up. if u can get to a pool u can exercise in the pool and it won’t hurt and it is good for u I know because I have back trouble and my knees r messed up. I joined the ymca and it has helped me a lot and my children can go with me because I got a family plan.

Hi Steve, Peggy and Emily….I’m routin’ for all of y’all! I too started working on losing weight last May and lost a total of 14 lbs by the end of 2012. It was short of my goal, but it was better than nothing; and I’m continuing on into 2013. I’m going to check out Dr. Ian’s book for my goals too!
